Before fully committing to NX-V, users are encouraged to first try the free version of the app to ensure compatibility with their cameras or NVRs. However, it is important to note that the app is not recommended for use on iPhones older than the 8 model or on the first-generation iPhone SE, as the screen size may hinder the user experience and limit access to all features.

For those seeking enhanced capabilities, NX-V PRO offers a range of advanced features beyond the free version, including:

 <li>Human body detection with pre-event video recording (iPad only).</li>

 <li>Access to remotely stored videos via FTP servers.</li>
 <li>Ability to review onboard recording and event history.</li>
 <li>GPS location settings for cameras with map visualization for all connected devices.</li>

It is crucial to keep in mind that functionality can vary significantly based on the specific camera model being used. Not all cameras support system administration or onboard storage, which may limit available features.

The software's ability to playback videos from onboard storage at an exact start time is contingent upon the firmware behavior of the camera or NVR. If individual replay URIs for each recording event are available, the app can successfully play them back and save the video stream as a local MP4 file. Conversely, some devices may not provide any timing information through their firmware, complicating precise navigation to video start points.

NX-V is also compatible with iOS and Apple TV platforms.
